The Winter Palace
The Escher in Het Paleis museum in The Hague is housed in the former Winter Palace of Queen Emma. She was the widow of King William III and the regent for her minor daughter Queen Wilhelmina. Queen Emma used this palace as her winter residence. Built in the 19th century, the palace showcases the opulent architecture of the period.
Optical illusions by Escher
The exhibition is a tribute to the genius artist M.C. Escher.
