Discover Leiden

Leiden, or 'little Amsterdam', is a picturesque destination with old Dutch buildings and canals. Besides the beautiful, historic centre in itself, Leiden is a great place to shop at well-known brands or at one of the many vintage shops. It is also home to the university with its observatory 'Sterrewacht' and the impressive Hortus Botanicus courtyard garden.

Leiden has plenty of greenery. The picturesque city even has a courtyard route! When the weather is nice, you can enjoy one of the many parks. Have a picnic at the Polderpark Cronesteyn, the Plantsoen or the Van der Werfpark.
